All registered optometrists have passed qualifying examinations following a supervised training year and university degree. A few optometrists continue to develop themselves professionally to better care for their patients. Not all optometrists are the same.
Dr Michael Johnson and Mrs Hayley Johnson have years of experience working in specialist clinics, and back this up with higher academic and clinical qualifications that give you more confidence in their ability to care for the health of your eyes. They also have a wider scope of practice than entry level optometrists that allows them to treat eye problems without onward referral and to take over the management of patients who have previously been seen at hospital.
Our professional fees take into account their enhanced knowledge and clinical skills of your optometrist, and thus their ability to interpret and act on test results.
It is recommended that patients become members of the Johnson & Furze EyeCare scheme. Benefits to members include free eye examinations, supplementary tests and repeat measurements as required. This enables your optometrist to perform the tests that will provide them with the information they need to detect problems sooner and offer better advice.
